meet this objective ecsc has devised a training course and
software toolkit / methodology to underpin the compliance
process.
Sustainable Energy Policy In Action- Training and Support for Planners
The one-day training enables attendees to more effectively deal with the renewable energy aspect of planning applications for developments in their area. The training covers:
1. Policy Context - National regional and local policy background. Social, economic and environmental drivers.
2. Process - A description of the compliance assessment process steps involved in the evaluation of planning applications. How to use the software toolkit.
3. Case Studies -The final session of the day gave attendees the opportunity to work through a representative range of case studies using the tool to set targets and evaluate compliance on the basis of real data from real developments.
