This year ecsc will be co-ordinating the South East Renewables Conference in Partnership with GOSE and SEEDA. The title of this year’s event will be “Planning for Renewables” with the primary aim being assisting the South East achieving its energy targets.
The conference will aim to illustrate practical solutions to common problems experienced in planning for renewables, and will invite speakers from a wide variety of professions throughout the field to disseminate these solutions.
The conference will draw together representatives from the planning departments of local authorities, renewable energy businesses, developers, architects and project managers, housing managers, elected members, the managed housing sector, NGOs, senior managers, energy officers, estate managers and consultants.
The conference will be held in Brighton on the 9th and 10th November 2006, and will consist of a mix of presentations and workshops and also a trade exhibition. Topics covered will include: financial planning and investment, spatial planning, community engagement and involvement and technical liaison.
